Block 13: Digestive & Excretory Systems (chap. 38)
Introduction: It's a good thing most foods taste good. Just think what it would be like if the food we need as fuel to keep our body working tasted bitter and sour all the time.
The energy that is stored in the food is changed by the digestive process into a form our body systems can use. The waste products from the digestive system are then eliminated from our body by the excretory system.
